I have tried to install the printers to the server using the PCL 6 drivers provided here for the ricoh c4000 When installing the drivers (networked printers) i get a 0x0.57 error. I tried using the LPT1 port (nothing connected) and i still get the same error. Could someone just run a test with these printer drivers to possibly confirm that it is a unique issue?

Took about 5 minutes to download and install the 64 and 32 bit drivers onto 2008 R2 SP1. I made my own RICOH directory, I did not want the files in the convoluted Users tmp location. Right clicking the OEMSETUP.inf file just says that the inf file i selected does not support this method of isntalation. The UI feature was not designed by the print team. You are running as a standard user in this UI with special tweaks on CLIENT versions of the OS. If the machine is not a print server (with print role added) Add Feature, Remote Server Admin tools for Print Role. This will add Print Management. This is the feature that the print team adding in 2003 R2 but with lots of feature updates in both 2008 and 2008 R2 releases and is added when adding the print role to the server. Server allready had the printer role, i tried to add the drivers using the proper method in the printer managment console making sure to use the x64 for 64bit drivers and x86 for 32bit and got the same error codes im really just a l1/2ish working for a level 3 boss at a med size organisation and ive just been given jobs that he hasnt had time to sort out/research or was cbf to fix. The person who set up the server was described by my boss as not technically minded as me (which says alot) so there could be some mistake made early on that is causing all this. Where do i find the driver verison in the file? I just am assuming its the 1.4 because of downloading it from the rioch website, R50338 and R50344. If it was in the same office i would have just installed the printers on a seperate server but the office is in a different state (other side of australia). May just end up manually adding the printer to each computer through a script of somesort added to the login script.
