When creating a new project, Subfolders of the main project is the only option (Frequently Used Subfolders). Is there any way around this? I found that using an Included File can work but this only works for an old project I set up. If I try to make a new project to use as an 'Included File', I still won't have an option to use folders outside of the main project.

Surely this can't be. What am I missing? Nearly ALL of my projects rely on folders outside of my main structure. -- Ron Crain. They're just trying to guide everyone to a standard method for projects. What am I missing? Nearly ALL of my projects rely >>on folders outside of my main structure. >>-- >>Ron Crain >>>>>>. Neil is 100% correct - The goal is to have less options for the new user - keep the project a little more simple but for the power user we have all the old features. There are a couple of new options that you might really like 1) Frequently Used Sub Folders - These are new 'shortcuts' that you can use to replace any nested workgroup or local search paths that you might have used in the past (the ones that turn red). These paths don't adversely affect the way inventor opens files so they are safe to freely add or remove. 2) Using Unique File Names - Turn this option to 'YES' to have inventor automatically search your workspace and any workgroup search paths for missing files.
