Ankhsvn Visual Studio 2012

I had trouble using AnkhSVN with Visual Studio 2012 and TortoiseSVN 1.7. I was using AnkhSVN 2.5.x since that was the latest available. Whenever I opened my solution it would warn me about upgrading my working copy of the solution files. When I attempted to do so then TortoiseSVN would tell me that it couldn’t. Very frustrating. In the end I think I have tracked down the problem cause as being a conflict of versions of the supporting software. If you are using TortoiseSVN 1.7.x then you must use AnkhSVN 2.4.x. If you are using TortoiseSVN 1.8.x then you must use AnkhSVN 2.5.x.

How to add SVN to Visual Studio 2012? Were you using the AnkhSVN plugin, or maybe the VisualSVN plugin with Visual Studio 2010? – user1706953 Nov 29 '12 at 14. Download AnkhSVN from one of the above download links. Start using AnkhSVN from Visual Studio. Using an existing solution with AnkhSVN 2.X.

Since I was already using both the tools and had the wrong versions this is what I had to do to straighten it out. I needed to continue using TortoiseSVN 1.7 in order to remain compatible with my team members and other projects. So that meant using only AnkhSVN 2.4.x • Close VS altogether. • Uninstall AnkhSVN 2.5.x through the Control Panel ->Programs and Features. Barbie E A Magia De Aladus Dublado here. • Make sure that everything you require is already in the SVN repo. Completely remove the directory containing my project files. This also deletes the hidden.svn directory.
